Christmas with Nana & Flash

We spent Christmas Eve with Christopher's family. We had brunch and spent the afternoon relaxing and opening presents with the kiddos. It was our first Christmas celebration with the newest members of the Davis family and it was such a great experience! We reminisced about this time last year Evey and Harrison were still sparlkes in our eyes.

I loved watching Evey and Harrison interact with each other. They loved staring at each other and it was so sweet. We always laugh at their "communal" crying, but both babies were amazing that day. Neither of them got to really nap. They'd snooze for ten minutes here or there, but for the most part, they stayed awake for the entire day. The amazing part was that neither of them got cranky.
Playing with her favorite uncle!

Evey kidnapped Harrison's hat and it looked so cute on her!!

Both babies nursed while we read the Bible and E woke up just in time to belch during prayer!

They loved ripping and chewing on the wrapping paper!

The bows were a big hit with Evey and Harrison! They loved the sound of the paper crinkling!

Evey had been trying so hard to sit on her own for about a month, and we were encouraging her to do it. She had the confidence and mastered sitting in our laps, but the floors weren't quite solid for her yet. She had been sitting for a bit, so I decided to snap a pic and down she went... right into a gift box. She had a little scratch on her eyebrow and cried for a bit, but overall, she took the tumble rather well! I love this photo because it shows me rushing to catch her. I didn't even realize I'd gotten the picture until later when I was loading them onto my computer!

Harrison fell asleep, so Evey got to help Nana open the last present!!

The damage... I don't think I've ever seen my in-laws house this destroyed!! Lol.

We all went to church late in the afternoon and Evey nursed herself to sleep there. When she woke up, she kept searching to find Harrison. When she finally spotted him, you could see the look of relief and contentment on her face. She sure does love that cousin of hers!

After church, we went straight to Granddottie's house, Christopher's grandmother. We celebrated as we always do, with a traditional dinner, white elephant, reading the birth story of Jesus and opening presents.

Granddottie with her first great-granddaughter!

By the end of the night, both babies were way past exhausted! I love tihs next strip of pictures...
she cries, then he cries. That's how it always goes. He hates to see his cousin be sad!

Unfortunately, we had to duck out a little early to get our girl to bed so Santa could make his appearance!
